Guitar and Bass parts.

this is a great song to
sing and play if you have
a friend that will play
the bass part for you.

start with your
fingers like this

e|-----------------------------|
B|----(1)3---------------------|
G|-------2---------------------|
D|-------3---------------------|
A|-----------------------------|
E|-----------------------------|

ring on D3
middle on G2
pinky on B3
first on (B1)

i usually keep the (B1) held,
but isn't necessary. it just
helps me out when i play it.

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--3---3---3---3-------1---1---1---1---------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----3---3---3---3-------3---3---3---3-------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------1---1---1---1----------------------------------|
G|--3---3---3---3------------------------------------------------------|
D|----3---3---3---3-------3---3---3---3--------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2-------|
D|---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3-----|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------|

This is just repeated through the entire song.
if you get to choose, i would try singing the
backup part to this ["Four Nine Five Three One"]
It works a LOT better than syncopating the
"Dutdutdutdutdutdut" with your picking pattern.
But play around with it and get comfortable.

--------------BASS-------------------

G|-----------------0~~~-----2~~~--2---------------------------------|
D|----0-3-3~~~-0-3------0-3---------3-0~~~3~~----3\----------------|
A|-1~~---------------------------------------1----------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------1~~~-1-1~~~-----|

G|------------------0~~~-----2~~~--2--------------------------------|
D|-------0-33~~-0-3------0-3---------3-0~~~-3~~---3\---------------|
A|---1~~----------------------------------------1-------------------|
E|-3--------------------------------------------------1~~-1-1~~~----|

---OR---
if you the the alide should be
more defined, you can also play,

G|------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------5~~~------7~~~~-7----------------------------|
A|------5-8-8~~~--5-8-------5-8---------8-5~~~--8~~---8\-----------|
E|-6~~~--------------------------------------------6~----1~~-1-1~~~-|

G|------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------5~~~-----7~~~-7-----------------------------|
A|---------5-8-8~~~-5-8------5-8--------8-5~~-8~~-----8\-----------|
E|-3--6~~~----------------------------------------6~~-----1~~-1-1~~-|

I think (THINK) the second
is how he actually plays it.

it might take a few runthroughs
to get the version in position
to where you want it, but it's
really worth it especially live.

I Hope It Helped
Have Fun With It
=D
